Situated between the provinces of Florence and Siena, the Chianti area has always been considered the heart of old Tuscany and is famous worldwide for its wines.

A rich history and a winemaking, tradition dating back to the thirteenth century, have made this area an ideal place for those wishing to embark on fantastic voyages between vineyards, hills and picturesque villages.

In every small town you can encounter wineries, castles or farms, whose names are placed next to the famous Black Rooster trademark, symbol of Chianti excellence.

The valley offers views of great charm: hills covered by vineyards, beautiful chestnut, oak trees and medieval villages rich in artistic as Greve in Chianti, with its ancient triangular square bordered by buildings, porches and balconies.

Coming from the valley the imposing fourteenth-century fortress leaves immediately understand the urban di Montalcino, a medieval town of military facility, crossed by narrow and steep vie.

Da up here the views are true masterpieces like those stored at ‘interior of the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art, which houses one of the richest collections of paintings and wooden sculptures of the Sienese school. Among the many churches stand out for sure 300sca St. Augustine, the neoclassical cathedral, the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Soccorso and Sant’Egidio, the church “de ‘Siena’. The Town Hall (end XIIIcc), a slender but sturdy structure is flanked by a high bell tower nearly a lookout tower topped by “Campanone” still beating the life of the whole country.

Arezzo stands on a hill in eastern Tuscany close to the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines. As evidenced by the architecture of the city, it boasts ancient origins. It was one of the largest Etruscan cities and also a strategic Roman city.

The highest part of the city retains a marked medieval appearance, dominated by the Cathedral and the Medici Fortress. The Cathedral, which has Gothic features in its aspect, houses valuable works of art including La Maddalena by Piero della Francesca and the stained glass windows by Guillaume de Marcillat. In the centre of the city, Piazza Grande displays a true anthology of architectural styles.

The Bacci chapel in the Basilica of San Francesco houses the extraordinary cycle of frescoes of the Legend of the True Cross by Piero della Francesca, one of the highest examples of Italian Renaissance painting.

The ruins of San Galgano lie between fields of sunflowers. It is a haunted and special place.

All that remains of what was once the most majestic Gothic buildings in Italy, with the largest Cistercian ruins in Italy and symbol of the most important monastic power in Tuscany, now has only the sky as the roof and a grass field as the nave, while pieces of fresco lie between vegetation. This was the site of the hermitage of San Galgano and the life of the saint is shown in the chapel that Ambrogio Lorenzetti frescoed between 1334 and 1336.

Just in the circular chapel, with its strange striped time, there is a rock on which is a delayed sword.

A charming city that never fails to surprise, with its masterpieces of art, coloured marble of the churches and the architecture that evoke the splendour and the role played in the development of culture and art of the Renaissance.

The beating heart of Florence is Piazza del Duomo, with the monumental complex of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore – topped by the majestic dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery of San Giovanni – a magnificent example of Florentine Romanesque, Giotto’s bell tower – a masterpiece Florentine Gothic architecture.

Piazza della Signoria is the historic centre of civil life and is home to the fourteenth-century Loggia dei Lanzi, the Fountain of Neptune and the Palazzo della Signoria or Palazzo Vecchio, one of the symbolic monuments of the city, in front of which stand some famous statues, including a replica of the Michelangelo’s David.

Next to the square there is the majestic Uffizi Gallery, home to one of the most important museums in the world, including works by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and many other great artists.
