1 August
Green Coring
As every year, August is dedicated to the coring of our greens, an essential maintenance operation that helps preserve the quality of the course and ensures optimal playing conditions in the months ahead.
Green coring involves removing small cores of soil from the putting surfaces, which are then filled with sand (topdressing). This process relieves soil compaction, improves oxygen exchange within the root zone, enhances water drainage, and encourages stronger, healthier turf growth. Performed twice a year, it is one of the most important maintenance practices for keeping the course in excellent condition.
During the recovery period, we kindly ask all players to pay particular attention to golf etiquette by repairing their pitch marks. This simple action plays an important role in helping the greens recover as quickly as possible.
Maintenance Schedule
• 3–4 August: Aeration of the back nine greens
• 5–6 August: Aeration of the front nine greens
• 3–6 August: Aeration of the short game area greens
During these dates, 9 holes will remain available for play, with the option to complete an 18-hole round by playing the same nine holes twice.
As a thank you for your understanding, the following Green Fee discounts will apply:
• 10% discount on 3–4 August
• 20% discount on 5–6 August
• 10% discount on 7-14 August
Following the maintenance, the greens will naturally go through a short recovery period while continuing to provide an enjoyable playing experience.
Our Course Maintenance Team will do everything possible to minimise disruption and restore the course to its best condition as quickly as possible. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
