A European Champion for Royal Golf La Bagnaia

We are proud to share an important achievement by one of our members. Francesco Franzinelli Socini Guelfi has been crowned European Champion at the 50th European Rotary Golf Championship (IGFR), held in Lyon from 22 to 26 June.

Following his World Championship title in 2023, Francesco has now added another prestigious accomplishment to his sporting career, confirming his place among the leading figures in international Rotary golf.

Behind this success lies months of disciplined, methodical and consistent preparation. In the lead-up to the championship, Francesco completed much of his training on the fairways and practice facilities of Royal Golf La Bagnaia, with a particular focus on refining his short game and course management. This meticulous preparation enabled him to approach one of the highest-level competitions with confidence and composure, ultimately securing the European title.

For the entire Royal Golf La Bagnaia community, this achievement is a source of great pride. Having among our members both a World Champion and now a European Champion is not only a remarkable sporting distinction, but also a reflection of the passion, dedication and sportsmanship that have always defined our Club.
