The Success of the First Burraco Tournament: 100 Players, Prizes and Winners

On Saturday, 3 October, the Clubhouse at Royal Golf La Bagnaia hosted the First Burraco Tournament.
One hundred players – fifty pairs – took part in this eagerly awaited event, exceeding all expectations and filling the Clubhouse with energy, concentration and conviviality.
Players travelled from Siena, Grosseto, the Chianti area, Milan and Rome, highlighting the event’s ability to attract enthusiasts from well beyond the local area.

The evening featured four rounds of play. Between the second and third rounds, participants enjoyed a light dinner prepared by Il Rosmarino Bar & Restaurant, the Clubhouse restaurant open to everyone, not just golfers, offering a convivial break before returning to the tables.

A total of 15 prizes were awarded during the evening, generously provided by several distinguished wineries that chose to support this first edition.

The first prize went to Angela Casini and Franca Fralassi, who each received a Magnum of Brunello di Montalcino, offered by the evening’s Main Sponsor, Castiglion del Bosco Winery.

Second place went to Katia Pagni and Tania Bacci, who each received a Magnum of Castello di Meleto Chianti Classico 50° Anniversario Special Edition 2016.

In third place, Luigia De Stradis and Claudio Frati received a Voucher for a Food & Wine Tasting Tour at Castello La Leccia.
